Actually I realized later that I just have to click the white/orange
balloon icon in the tray to get the list to pop up.
What I would like to know, though, is how to get Pidgin to show offline
users and how to set up my logitech web cam.

Area applet? Pidgin might not show the Buddy List by default, but be
