Didn't I give those instructions?
Make a window, edit the title. Each char I type makes the * alternate on and
off.
I have checked it again, and it seems to be working ok. I will report if I see
it shows up again.

Goodness no. This is a bug. :)
When a file has been edited and could be saved it is common to put a * at the
end of the title for that window.
If you make a window and in glade and start to edit the text for the title of
the window... you will notice that the * turns on and off with every other
thanks for the report, is this a wishlist bug? i think that blinking is
not a good method for telling the user that the file was changed rather
than changing the title like every program does.
