Unfortunately it doesn't help. I changed the line "alias net-pf-10 ipv6" to "alias net-pf-10 off" in /etc/modprobe.d/aliases and insured myself that the ipv6 kernel module has not been loaded after reboot. vmware-guestd still crashes after a few seconds. -- vmware-guestd crashing https://bugs.

Looks like a crash in retrieving information from libdnet, used by the guestInfo subsystem in guestd. Could you reproduce the bug and upload the dumped core as well as the guestd executable containing symbols? You may need to play with 'ulimit' to allow a core dump to be generated. -- vmware-gue
