I am using Gnome, so as i read above i did not enable apport.
Probably the break comes from running gedit with sudo, but the weird
part is that there is no .crash file in /var/crashes and when i rename
the directory and remove the quote everything works fine.

Have you enabled Apport? If you have and /var/crash is empty, then it's
unlikely to be a proper crash. It is more likely that gedit is closing
because of a permissions problem in your home folder, due to you having
opened Gedit with sudo in the past. The fact that it works with sudo and
not without
Maybe this a system specific problem, when i open gedit with sudo ( sudo
gedit ) and open the file it works just fine.
Exact folder name "/home/marios/Desktop/download/Who's/" and filename
"online.txt"

I tried exactly your combination of folder names and so on.
