package. You made this request quite some time ago and Ubuntu has been updated
since then.
Do you think this feature/enhancement is still needed or can we close

I am having this problem with a Sharp MX-4100N. I wish I could disable
this kind of warning independent from the affected printer.

I'm not positive that this addresses this enhancement request, but the
next version of HPLIP (3.9.4, due out soon), will have a configurable
system tray icon message bubble setting (show: All, Errors and Warnings,
Errors only, or None). Setting this to "Errors only", for example,
should prevent low
Adding upstream task, as the feature needs to be implemented in the
upstream HPLIP package.

I, too, would love to see the ability to turn off the "low on ink"
warnings everytime I print - I refill my cartridges, so they don't often
report correct ink level. Every single time I print, it says this ... it
really sucks.

Thanks for responding; it's not clear the printer drivers are doing
anything wrong, so this might belong with hplip. The bug report
probably belongs to whatever package owns the gnome notification bubble;
I think everything underneath the hood is working properly.
