Work around:
Use program provided at http://linux.thaj.net63.net/. This has to be
re-compiled for every set of keys and run as root after X has started. Using
this I have got both MythTv and XBMC to work.

That matches my conf which worked on Mythbuntu 8.04 (see also
http://cjo20.net/remote.htm). I've attached my conf which covers all
buttons. However, as mentioned earlier this only works for some buttons
in Mythbuntu 9.04. If I remember correctly, these buttons include Back,
Record, LiveTv?, Play, P
I have one of these, but i don't use it. I have a complete remote conf
file, but can only locate a partial one at present.
I have attached the partial one, can you let me know if it works?

It might be useful to add the remote to the HAL ignore list. See
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lirc/+bug/204960.
This should enable lirc to have complete control over the whole remote. This
would probably be better as it would be more flexible.
I haven't tried this yet.

Details of an lircd.conf for this remote are given at
http://cjo20.net/remote.htm. Using these instructions I was able to get all
buttons working under Mythbuntu 8.04. Note: In both Mythbuntu 8.04 and 9.04 the
numeric keys, ok, clear and enter etc work out of the box without configuring
lirc as

Unless you can post a lircd.conf for us to include, there is nothing we
can do to fix this bug. We can't write the lircd.conf as that requires
the hardware. If you can post a lircd.conf for it, please reopen the
bug.
