Yes, following the above listed recommendation, I could only solve point
1. The other points where blown in the wind with a new installation. I
don't see any of the problems in the new installation on Firefox 3.0.10
(jaunty i386 and 64 bits).

1. I don't see the three minimize, normal size and close button on the right

2. Although installed, foxmarks does not work.
3.I can neither return or advance, since the buttoms are greyed out.

I upgraded ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 reinstalling from scratch, therefore,
also updated Firefox. The problem did not appear again. I think it is
not solved, but it is bridged.
