Hi all,
I tried the linux-rt 2.6.31.9.10 (headers - 2.6.31-9.152) in 64-bit 9.10
RC with the 185 drivers.
Unfortunately the machine hangs before getting to desktop. The system
appears completely unresponsive - I cannot Ctrl-Alt to a different tty.

Confirming the same issue on Karmic's rt kernel on 64bit.
X's log reports that the nvidia drivers were not found. DKMS seems to have done
it's job during the install tho.

I'll take a deeper look when I have the time, but wo
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that could be fixed in
the Beta release of Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it! Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

Bug #366352 is probably related. In comment #7, a user offers a custom compiled
kernel that solves the incompatibility with the nvidia driver
(see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-rt/+bug/366352/comments/7).
This might be worthwhile investigating.

It perfectly works on Jaunty generic x32

This bug priority should be increased when I see the number of people
complaining on forums.

I am using Jaunty x86 with latest nvidia drivers (180.44) and I also
cannot use linux-rt (2.6.27.3) with the Nvidia drivers, nvidia kernel
module refuses to load and launches failsafe X.
Also tried 177 & 96 drivers to no avail.
