I would, but after looking at other programs, it seems that this happens
with a few others also. Most, however, do not update at all, even when
the mouse is moved around the icon.
With regards to this bug, could we please close it as it seems to be not
a bug by definition? Cheers.

On the note of the tray icon, when the mouse hovers over it, the Up and
Down speeds are shown. However they do refresh every few seconds. The
only way to make this happen is to move the mouse (keeping it on the
icon). Surely this should refresh without needing to do this? Or is it

or wontfix, the general consensus is that in Ubuntu this should be

The change was made in Transmission 1.30 by the Transmission authors;
their rationale is that the new default is compliant with Gnome
interface guidelines. (Which it is -- I'm not as sure about
convenience.)
