@momcilo: Intrepid is not supported anymore. You can upgrade to newer
versions which have newer pcsc-lite versions (and doesn't use hal
anymore), so the problem should be solved.

Is it a problem/limitation in the omnikey (pcsc-omnikey package in
Ubuntu multiverse and Debian non-free). This driver does not provide
source code so we can't fix it.
