after a suspend/resume cycle. I'm going to mark this as a duplicate of
bug 294058 so that the developers only have a single bug to track.

Care to test and confirm if this issue remains with the most recent pre-
release of Jaunty 9.04 (currently Alpha4) -
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . It contains a newer 2.6.28
based kernel. You should be able to test suspend (not hibernate) via a

The same problem here with Kubuntu 8.10.
Suspend to Ram works quite fast (even faster than with 8.04), but after restart
network-manager isn't able to connect to my wlan any longer.
Additionally kde warns about a problem with kbluetoothd and the
bluetooth icon in the control bar disapears.

Thank you! Since this bug has enough information provided for a
developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them
handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!

Could you please add a dmesg.log and /var/log/pm-suspend.log after

I'm still facing this issue which is serious, because the system won't

Hi Florian,
unfortunately the workaround made the situation even worse.
If I resume from suspend, Ubuntu tries to connect to the WLAN: One of
the two bubbles is green, the other one is gray and the animation is
rolling. If I click on the WLAN icon, the whole computer freezes and I

Hi Florian,
the workaround worked for me, thanks!
I've attached the dmesg.log after resuming (yet without the workaround).
