The problem still persists in Jaunty (uname: 2.6.28-3-generic #4 ... Dec 12 22:48:15 UTC 2008). Xorg.log says: LVDS 1024x600 DPI 96x96 physical screen size 195x113 Again three pairs of numbers are inconsistent among themselves (e.g. 1024pixel width @96dpi would result in screen width of 271m
