In this screen shot from intrepid, notice how the folder icons for the
bookmarked places are in the left pane of the nautilus window, then look
at the icons in gnome-panel. This behavior is not seen with the default
Human icon theme, but is seen others such as Tango and Tangerine. Might
be an iss

Using tango icon theme, or most other icon themes besides the default
Human icon theme set -> Open places menu -> bookmarked icons for
standard home folders, Documents, Music, etc, revert to Gnome defaults.
