Package managers aren't correctly managing packages
I tried your example with wmaker and libwraster3 and the problem still
exists in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. The problem might be that the dependency
check for autoremove is made while wmaker is still marked as installed.
However, at this moment this is pure speculation.
