This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

I've reinstalled Ubuntu 8.04 on my computer, applied all updates, and
upgraded to 8.10. Upon a restart, I get stuck on the following error
message: This is the same error I get when tying to use the Ubuntu 8.10
live cd or install cd.

I've solved one of my problems. My PCI nVidia card was preventing any
of the Ubuntu installers from working (even the alternate installer).
Once I removed that video card, my integrated video card seemed to work
fine, and the 8.04 installer worked again. However, upon trying the
8.10 installer (b
I'm not sure if this is related or not, but my Ubuntu 8.04 or 8.11
bootable CD doesn't work now. The CDs bring up the install menu, but
once I select "Install", it starts to the load the Ubuntu progress bar,
and then the progress bar freezes. My alternate 8.04 install CD isn't
