Hi! The bug as described is not more valid. But it's still not working
out of the box. You still have to do a lot of "old-skool"-linux stuff
at the terminal to make it work. So somehow the bug should still be
marked as active.

I got it working now.
For everybody:
I downloaded the isight-firmware-tools from here
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/i386/isight-firmware-tools/1.2-2
and installed it with
sudo dpkg -i isight-firmware-tools_1.2-2_i386.deb
Then:
- mount the hfs+ partition with nautilus
- run
You have to use the iSight-Firmware-Tools package to extract the
firmware from the file you copied and place the resulting isight.fw file
in /lib/firmware
