Their are two issues here. The original issue is a current bug, however the lockup is separate and fixed as noted below. The other issues listed are SEPARATE and fixed in 2.6.27.11+ currently in intrepid-proposed. The workaround is to sudo modprobe -r ath9k then sudo modprobe ath9k although there
