I have the same/similar problem. Possibly related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-do/+bug/450852 as well. The symptom is that gnome-do is running but it's running at 200% CPU and lookups do not work, e.g. if I type "firefox" it stays in raw text mode and does not launch firefox.

hmm, i have updates since this bug. nothing noticeably changed on gnome-do (at least apt-cache policy shows nothing different). logging in just now with these updates and **i haven't re-experienced the problem**. suggest to park this, and if i notice it again, i will provide all the details you
