Does the hardware 'eject' button on the CD drive work?
Does the software 'eject' function in your audio application work? Which
application?
If you open a Terminal, does the command 'eject -v' work? If not, please paste
the terminal output in your reply.

Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
