You have logged in a terminal. the '[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$' line is the prompt that waits for your command. You can attempt to start the desktop manager manually by typing: 'sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start' and press an enter. If this doesn't work (and I don't expect it to) you can tray to reinstall Gno
