I would just like to add, that I only get this redraw problems with EXA
(default). If I switch to UXA/DRI2, then performance is better and I did
not see any redraw problems.

Apologies for the delay, the machine took quite a bit longer to come back from
service than they had originally told me.
Here are the two entries from lspci.
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series
Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a42] (rev 07)
I just sent the machine in for service, I should have it back on Wed and
I'll post the output then.
