I really don't think it's High importance. Default file manager is
Dolphin, thus it can't be High because the expected amount of affected
people is far too low, especially since you have to fiddle with the
mimetype settings in order to change the default file manager.

I have it for both. It's just a bigger issue for remote files since
copy-to won't work for those as an alternative.

I don't seem to have this problem in konqueror 4.1.2 (virtualbox kubuntu
intrepid) for local files
don't have a sftp account anywhere to check that but the original author has
this problem also for local files it appears,
at least he doesn't specify it to be only for remote files
