Well I tried the live CD of the beta release of Karmic, the animation was perfect. However, the animation I tried wasn't that of the desktop cube, but desktop wall, for I wasn't able to install advanced desktop effects in the live session. Moreover, the desktop wall animation is flawless in Jaunty
