Hi, I've Thunderbird 2.0.0.17, Lightning 0.7 and Enigmail 0.95.7 on
Ubuntu 8.04.1 x86. Since a couple of weeks after i receive an email no
matter if they are digitally signed or not, thunderbird freezes. The
only way to recover it, is killing the process and launch again, then it

I ran thunderbird from the terminal and noticed it did crash because of
a google calender I added in the lightning calender extension. I
deleted it and now the problem seems to be solved! Thanks for the tip
about the extensions...should have thought of that one.

Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on

And try to run thunderbird using a clean profile in order to see if the problem
comes from one of your extension: firefox -safemode
