Nope. Even before crtl + alt + backspace was removed, the proper way to restart X from kdm was to press alt + e, or choose the restart X option from the options menu. Additionally, you can re-enable crtl + alt + backspace from System Settings. -- on logout X should restart if xorg.conf was change
