If you have a valid CD, any download failure should not be critical for
the rest of the installation. There is a log file in your user temp
folder. That will help to identify any issue, please attach it here. In
any case you should be able to run Wubi with the command line argument
--skipmd5check.

Sorry install is not Beta. Tried both 86x releases.
bug in wubi that comes with ubuntu 8.04.1 I can't use wubi as it doesn't have
any configuration dialog. After it copies the cd image to the harddisk it tries
to download the md5sum.gpg or something from the internet, then i can only
cancel wh
Download is of latest release. Any suggestions? The cursor on my host PC
is patiently awaiting an event to be triggered..
