You receive
If something is moved to MY trash, nautilus should change the
permissions and restore, if the file is restored.
If that's impossible, Nautilus shouldn't accept moving trees to the
trash, that have unwritable directories in it.

Clearly the file's owner was root and a normal user can't delete files
that belong to the root account. A sudo should suffice in most cases.
