If the debs dont have anything to do with this path I guess it comes
from my initially attempts to compile the module. Marking this bug as
invalid.

Do you mean /usr/locale/bin or /usr/local/bin?
None of the openafs debs should put anything in /usr/local(e). My guess
is that it is something that you either compiled and installed yourself
or got from somewhere else.

Ahh. That seemed to be the problem.
klog points to /usr/locale/bin/klog while alternatives points to
/usr/bin/klog.
Putting /usr/bin before /usr/locale/bin in the PATH environment variable solves
the issue.
Can't see if this is a problem in the post install scripts of the module though.

Which klog are you using? I.e what is the output of
ls -l `which klog`
and
update-alternatives -display klog

Although the module can be compiled without patch now.
