I'm attaching lscpi-vvnn.txt, Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf
Here is something to note: after I modified my xorg.conf to have the settings
for 1280x800, after I rebooted the settings went back to the the 2nd settings
that I have in the original thread but my screen resolution is correct.

/var/log/Xorg.0.log file from after reproducing this issue.
If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please
attach that as well.
