In fact I think there are two distinct problems for me:
- before 1ubuntu2, screen was flickering, with whole parts of the display
moving (background, etc.) and mouse was flipping
- with 1ubuntu2, only the mouse shows the weird behaviour

Interesting. The 1ubuntu2 version of intel fixed the exact same problem
for me, although I have 965GM.

In fact, the "flipping" also happens when I load any app later on :
gnome-terminal, firefox, etc..., not only while loading gnome (but this
lasts longer)
