I am still having to use LD_PRELOAD to get pidgin and camorama to work under Ubuntu 9.10. I have custom wrapper scripts named /usr/local/bin/${APP}-v4l1compat like: #!/bin/bash LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so ${APP} I edit the menu to use these scripts to launch pidgin and camorama. --
