By "hang" I mean after the splash screen I get a black screen and have
no functionality from the keyboard or mouse. This is with the default
kubuntu 8.10 config with kdm. If I remove the splash argument from
grub, kdm will load correctly. If I install and use gdm with splash,
gdm will load corr
What are you saying with "hang"? Is gdm been load normally? Can be your
video card.
