The first $auth is not needed so I removed it, I also fixed a small
bash-ism in the script

AFAICS isn't needed.

Same problem here tried suggestion of changing command launch in
/user/share/applications and now I get "Failed to execute child process
"gtparted-root" (No such file or directory).
Hpwever if I run as sudo from cli (sudo qtparted) it works.
