2009-04-13 Thread Martin Pool
I filed this six months ago so my memory may be faulty. But if I recall correctly, gimmie was basically nonfunctional in Ubuntu for me at the time, and when I looked into the problem I got this advice not to use it. -- gimmie upstream says "please don't use it" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/25

But if you really think it should be dropped, I will request its removal from Debian as well. -- gimmie upstream says "please don't use it" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu

Sorry for replying a half year too late, but I were not subscribed to gimmie's bugs in Ubuntu (I am now). The version maintained in Debian is stable and will be supported until (a) GnomeVFS gets removed. (b) Python 3.X becomes the default python version (c) A required extension is not avail

Removed from intrepid; the package is still in Debian and not blacklisted, so it will come back when jaunty opens - please reopen the bug if you think this needs to be permanently blacklisted from Ubuntu. 2008-10-27 23:28:53 INFORemoving candidates: 2008-10-27 23:28:53 INFOgimmie 0.2.8
