The point is, that there should not be VPN tab if none of VPN plugins are
installed.
Or it should suggest to download one (like with codecs).
Anyway, having VPN plugins on CD is not enough, you should also have
network_manager_pptp (whatever it is) installed.
And it is really strange, that ther
open a wishlist bug against ubuntu that asks for inclusion of vpn
plugins on CD.

I just tried 8.10 in VirtualBox and VPN tabs have these buttons
disabled. Damn, I thought this would be the first Ubuntu version that i
could recommend my users, whithout "oh and you just need to download
pptp and network_manager_pptp before you could configure vpn
connection". Oh well :`(

updated .deb "network-manager-vpnc-gnome".

Sorry about the Dupe. I should have said that I am using PPTP - I don't
know if it helps much, so it's obviously more than the individual VPN
types.

come up with test packages in ~network-manager PPA asap.
