I just tested on 8.10 to recreate the startup links that previously
failed and now it work.
update-rc.d -f kerneloops remove
Removing any system startup links for /etc/init.d/kerneloops ...
/etc/rc0.d/K20kerneloops
/etc/rc1.d/K20kerneloops
/etc/rc2.d/S20kerneloops
/etc/rc3.d/S20kernel
This is working fine for me with the current version on Jaunty
(0.12-0ubuntu3). I've been through several installation and upgrade
cycles and the daemon is running properly all the time.
