Marking as fixed. Upstream says Gadu-Gadu is supported in empathy 2.24,
and I can confirm.

Marcin: sounds like telepathy-haze issues.
Would be good if you could attach haze log. See
http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/Debugging for details. Basically you have
to replace GABBLE by HAZE in these explanations.

Does not work for me: I can now add a Gadu-Gadu account, but then I
attempted to add a known contact which was online: she appeared as
offline, and did not receive my messages. The contact did not even stay
saved. When I added myself as a contact, I could see myself online and
open a chat window wi
I can see Gadu-Gadu as an option in the latest Empathy 2.23.90 (but
don't have an account to test). Has this issue now been solved?
