I see the same error when attempting to upload, using 10.04, Firefox
3.6.3, and Java (icedtea) 1.6.0_18. The only workaround is to use the
Facebook "simple" uploader. The link to the simple uploader is at the
bottom of the page that causes the crash (yes, I know...). I managed to
grab it and cop

My FF is crashed after second upload:
after first launch of FF, if I go to upload photos, Java applet is loading and
upload works, if I want to upload more, when trying to launch the applet again,
then there is the gray box and 100% of FF and I just need to kill FF.

i'm on 32-bit Hardy.
for me, the applet wasn't starting. i had both sun-java6-plugin and
icedtea-gcjwebplugin installed, and the Icedtea one was overriding the
Sun one.
i first tried removing icedtea-gcjwebplugin, which made the Sun plugin
active. trying the applet again caused the browser to cra
Could you please check if ~/.mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin.so is a link
that points to the installed plug-in. If exists and is not a link,
Firefox is surely to crash on every site with a java applet.

I did more checking. It seems like any page with a Java applet crashes.
This did kind of work for some sites a few weeks ago. The gcj version
of the java plugin is being used. I see there are other bugs about java
plugin issues so I guess you can mark this as a duplicate of one of
those. Thanks
