The tab in the package properties window says "installed files" -
perhaps it should be changed to "package files".
I thought the reason you can't see the list of files in a package that
isn't installed was because of files generated during installation -
this is misleading.

synaptic does not
This is not a bug but a question.
Synaptic keeps no track of files which are not shipped with a package,
/etc/uswsusp.conf is not shipped with the package but is created afterwards
during the package configuration phase.
