The culprit might be skim. Skim doesn't work on KDE4 and its presence
causes problems. Please purge skim from your system and try if this
fixes it. Thanks.

I think this is related to bug #250046.

I installed scim on top of kde 4 and found that many, many sites crashed
konqueror. In the backtraces I was able to determine that the problem
was sc
I can confirm this bug. It happens most of the time when you choose an
item from a drop-down menu.
