Apparently this issue is fixed in Intrepid.
For Hardy please make sure libc6-dev is installed to ensure successfully
building the kqemu module.

I have attempted to reproduce this bug in hardy 8.04.1 on i386 and also
amd64. I first check to make sure libc6-dev is not installed. However
when I aptitude install kqemu-source libc6-dev is brought in through
dependencies. However, I noticed that if using apt-get libc6-dev is not
installed. S
Do you have libc6-dev installed, maybe due some other dependency?

I cannot seem to reproduce this. I can build kqemu from the kqemu-
source package in hardy on i386 without any problems.
