Michael, I think that this is great that Adeona will be packaged to a
repository in the in the not too distant future
for easy installation. Thanks.
However, I have been trying for many weeks to get it installed on my Acer
Aspire 5100 laptop running
64-bit Hardy.
Please see my forum postin
Talking with upstream, they will resolve this with the next stable
release, so at that time, I can package it.

The GPL and OpenSSL's license are incompatible; a linking exception is
needed for the GPL code which adeona doesn't have. Without said
exception, adeona can't be legally packaged for Ubuntu or Debian.

Could you elaborate, what is exact problem with licensing? Adeona is
licensed under GPLv2 and this should be fine, afaik.
