UPDATE: I don't think the problem is FLASH.
Rationale:
1) Completely uninstalled FLASH 10 via Snaptic (the way it was installed)
2) Reboot
3) Install FLASH 9
4) Tried MIRO; same behaviour - no video
5) Reinstalled MIRO same behavior
6) Upgraded to FLASH 10; FLASH works everywhere.
Conclusion:
I haven't tested it yet, but this might work if Miro doesn't use the plugins
from .mozilla/plugins...
- Put flash 10 in ~/.mozilla/plugins
- Remove flash 10 from the system wide directories (/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
and anywhere else)
