FF3 locks up System

Regular use using default installed browser with Ubuntu Hardy 8.04. No
extensions installed. No themes installed. 90% of use on
http://www.deviantart.com. The system would lock up after a few minutes
of browsing users pictures, checking messages, etc.
I have totally removed the installation of FF3
