There is no layout for multimedia keyboards during install. The
installer asks which country you live in, your language and the key
layout. You can only use multimedia keys after installation, there isn't
much point in being able to use it before... Please follow the installer
choosing your country
iam installing ubuntu lucid lynx and there is still no multimedia
keyboard layout.GENERIC MULTIMEDIA keyboard layout is not available in
default installationno the keyboard extra keys are not recognized.there
is only one option called as US layout.

are you installing? Also what keyboard layout/variant do you have that
is not available during installation? Is the keyboard setup properly
*after* installation? Is there an option after installation to choose
the keyboard lay
please reopen this bug,i forgot the link to this bug thats why i havent
commented recently.the keyborad layout isnt there in ubuntu default
installer i think you call it ubuquity.some of my special keys are not
working and i cannot designate any other keys to them.thanks

Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
