Sorry, I've been busy and out of town most of July.
The next step for this bug probably is to report it upstream, or to rig up a
patch to check for the invalid value. If you're feeling ambitious, feel free
to do either; if not, I'll hopefully get time to work on it within the next
couple weeks.
