comment. Regarding testing the 2.6.27 kernel you'd need to enable the
Intrepid repository in order to install the linux-image-2.6.27-* kernel
via something like apt-get.

Now I'm using Ubuntu and no have problem with this. The problem stopped. May
be some version upgrade.
The kernel 2.6.27 is available on ftp.kernel.org only. Not in apt. This is
correct?

I'm having the same problem. When I try to exit (using System->Quit or
the exit button up top), everything freezes and I can't do anything.
I've even tried having a terminal open so I can try "sudo reboot" or
something, but I can't even do that (the cursor even stops blinking on
the terminal).

When I need to finish the desktop. I can't use the button Quit on the
System Menu. When I click in the Quit item, all gnome freeze. And I
don't get use anything. I need restart the X Windows using
(Ctrl+Alt+Del).
The Quit item is located in Menu System or at the task bar, the red button.
