You might as well reopen it. It is a legitimate and SEVERE bug. I have
seen mail disappear before I have had a chance to open it. It is
distributed to the appropriate folder, the appropriate folder is
highlighted, then the mail vanishes and the folder highlight reverts to
normal. The message is

to investigate the problem, as described in the previous comments.
