no, doesn't happen in 8.04.X, although I didn't have months of uptime with that
yet, where it becomes very obvious. but after a week or two, it doesn't look
bad, so I assume it's fixed.
didn't notice it in 9.04 either, but I hardly used that for more than a couple
of hours.

In my case, it's certainly nothing to do with it. I'm on 4.4.2 on ubuntu 7.04,
i didn't have an update for xfce since... ages.
I didn't run xfconfd, didn't even know that such exists. Neither have I acpi
fan control.

I don't know what happened since, but the memory leaking is now less obvious,
but it is still there.
I don't know, how to make traces and stuff, but i thought i make this

If there is a memory leak we should be able to detect it relatively
easily based on the reporters description. I'm going to mark the bug as
incomplete until someone has a chance to look at this to be really sure
there isn't a memory leak :)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Since we can't reproduce this bug, and you are unable to
test on a more current version of xubuntu, I am closing the report for
now.
If this is a problem after you upgrade, please change the status from
invalid to
unfortunatelly, no. i have 2 running servers with feisty, i just can't
install hardy and test this for days/weeks :( (i have tried hardy one
one of them, but it had way too many bugs, so i reverted to feisty)
