These users logged out using the procedure I described - System->Quit & then clicking 'Log out' Is the LDM cleanup code called on xserver reset w/ ctrl+alt+backspace? Doing so in a test environment shows lots of stale processes left around. Before ctrl+alt+backspace: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ps auxw

did these users log out properly or did they just power off their clients ? ldm explicitly has code to clean up after a users session. that is indeed not aplied if you kill it forcefully by just ripping out the power cable or holding down the power button for 5 secs. -- processes not killed on lo
